"Blink and you'll miss it!" they all say. And Blimey O'Reilly - they're right! Secondary school is when time really speeds up. You send in this gorgeous, relatively clean and nice smelling (I have sons) cuddly little bundle of gorgeousness that calls you Mummy. And only five short years later, out comes an enormous, not so nice smelling, human calling you Muv.
The upside is, they are great humans, with awesome principles and cracking senses of humour that might remind you of your own father. Anyway my point is, all of these stages of growing into a human must be celebrated. Some bits might drag (terrible twos really can be terrible) but I promise you, you will still look back on it extremely fondly.
Even the time he filled up the car's petrol tank with water from the hose. I wish I had a photo of his face doing it.
I know that's a moment in your life I might not be able to capture. However, I want to freeze this moment in time for your family so you can always remember their smiles and quirks, thoughtfulness and mischievousness. And even more importantly, I want to photograph you! It's so easy to be the other side of the lens (I know!). In generations to come, I will cease to exist after our wedding day - apart from a number of dodgy selfies in swimming hats. You need to be in the photos. It's really not that bad. You are central to your children's worlds. And not just when they're little. They want to be able to remember you doing you. In fact, not having your photo taken is actually verging on irresponsible!
